Elder Scrolls V Information + Changes

I read something interesting in the Digital Spy website (Click link to go to the main site page) regarding the upcoming game, Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, this might interest some fans of the series, please read the information below from the website:

“The role-playing game will be set 200 years after the events of Oblivion, when dragons have returned to the world and a civil war has broken out, according to Game Informer (via NeoGAF).

Specific classes are dropped in favour of an overall level, with customise stats and unlockableFallout 3-style perks with each level gained.

Although the number of skills has been reduced from 21 in Oblivion to 18, players can still specialise in specific professions or create characters with balanced traits.

Emphasis has been placed on improving the game’s combat, with each hand given a specific function, whether it be magic, sword and a shield or duel-wielding two separate melee weapons.

Enemies include trolls, giants, dragons, wolves and giant spiders, and will be scaled according to both your level and certain random elements.

The game’s world, which is north of the Imperial City, will feature five main urban areas and promises more unique dungeons to explore.

Other additions include randomly-generated quests, sprinting, a HUD-free first person view and dynamically-settling snow.”

This may upset a few fans as the Elder Scrolls system was what made it unique but to replace the usual system we all know and love to a Fallout 3 type of system, although I do like the idea of random generated quests. The customizable stats and the like pretty much just sound like Oblivion’s “Make Your Own Class” option so nothing new there in a way.

Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim will arrive at the 11th November 2011 (Hmm, 11/11/11, coincidence maybe?)  for multiple platforms, this surely will be one of the biggest games of 2011 regardless of the changes, it should still do well I reckon!
